Grace Seikman felt she was called to the field of nursing as a means to help others. When her husband was deployed to serve in the Vietnam War, she found this work to be incredibly important to support her family. She earned an LPN from Southeast Community College in 1974 and later received an ASN from the State University of New York in 1986, a BSN from the University of Phoenix in 1994, and a Master of Science in physician assistant studies from the University of Nebraska Medical Center in 2001.
Since her initial degree, Ms. Seikman has been a dedicated medical professional. Since 2009, she has utilized her skills and expertise to serve as a physician assistant for Vituity (formerly CEP America). Prior to this, she worked as a family practice physician assistant at the Stratton Medical Clinic, the Kitt Carson County Hospital, and the Parke Health Clinics. She has worked in emergency rooms and in obstetrics and neonatal care, as well as a staff nurse in a variety of hospitals across the country.
In recognition of her years of experience and exemplary work, Ms. Seikman has received a number of awards. In 2019, she was honored with the Physician Assistant of the Year Award from Vituity. She has received the same titled award from the Family Practice Physician Assistant Group. Furthermore, she was named the Outstanding Nurse Of Year in Kit Carson County in1991 and 1992 and earned the Emergency Medical Technician Intermediate of Year Award from the Emergency Medical Association of Colorado in 1991.
